The positioners that we offer are characterised by their excellent precision which means that they may be used for both micro- and nanopositioning. Although macroscopic travelling over a range of a few centimetres is possible, all positioners are able to work with sub-nanometer resolution of movement.
SmarAct GmbH offers relatively large as well as very small positioners – for example, we have produced the world’s smallest nanopositioner with macroscopic stroke with interated sensor (SLC-1720-S from the product series SLC-17).
Because of the small dimensions, the positioners can carry out demanding manipulations in very limited spaces, without competing for room with other systems.
The product range of SmarAct includes both linear and rotary positioners. Linear Positioners are indicated by an ‘SL’ or 'SLC' and rotary positioners by an ‘SR’ in the product list.
